The Breakfast Club

This program ran from 2010 to 2019 as a joint program of the Kiwanis Club of Kitchener, Franklin Public School and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Because of the success of the program and the many volunteers, in 2014 the Kiwanis Club of Kitchener opted to support another local Breakfast Club program. The Franklin / St. Luke’s Breakfast Club was supported by church and local volunteers and with financial grants from Nutrition For Learning, the school council and other local service clubs. Each day during the school year, some 40-50 children who attend Franklin Public School received a healthy breakfast before they head off to school. Articles: Breakfast is Ready
